课程介绍

This course is designed to improve graduate students’ ability to understand and communicate in English in professional financial contexts. The course introduces key topics in modern finance, including the financial system, banking and central banks, financial markets, financial crises, the international monetary system, financial regulation, ESG finance, and financial technology. Through lectures, guided reading, classroom discussion, and case analysis, students will develop both financial literacy and advanced English communication skills. Authentic materials from international financial media and academic sources will be used to expose students to real-world financial discourse. The course also encourages students to critically analyze global financial issues and to express their views on contemporary developments such as digital currencies, financial crises, sustainable finance, and fintech innovation.
